Aphrodisiacs are consumables that are known to increase the libido (a.k.a. sex drive). The word comes from the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation: Aphrodite. Scientifically, these foods are believed to reduce stress, increase blood flow and positively affect neurotransmitters. I’ve put a list together of well-known aphrodisiacs that can be tested to see if their magical qualities really do get you in the mood… it’s summer so why not?! While making this list I noticed many of these foods are nutritional, high antioxidant, and natural foods.
