Morning Smoothie

Since the warmer weather has hit I’ve switched from avocado toast or oatmeal with honey and berries to nourishing smoothies in the morning. I’ve set up a “smoothie bar” in my kitchen, where my bullet can always be found along with ingredients that don’t need to be refrigerated. It takes less than 5 minutes in the a.m. to blend up a smoothie and I take it to work with me. The best part is it keeps me relatively full until lunch time! Here is my current morning smoothie recipe:

Blueberry Banana Smoothie

1 cup almond milk or 1 cup coconut water

1/4 cup fresh blueberries

1/4 cup frozen berries

1/2 banana

handful of kale

tbsp chia seeds

tbsp ground flax seed

1 egg white
