Arizona Girls’ Trip Recap

I had the most amazing time in AZ with my mom this year, we have made this into an annual girls’ getaway and have so many ideas for next year! I was really craving sunshine, books and girl time so we decided last minute to book flights and use the Hotel Tonight app for a bit of spontaneity. We were there a total of 6 days and had a few places in mind to stay and a few ideas for what to do. Top priority was reading, lounging and juicing! See previous posts here:

We began our trip by staying at The Saguaro in Scottsdale. I 100% recommend this place for a budget friendly hotel in Arizona. It was young, hip, modern, clean, and so bright and friendly! The staff was amazing, guests super cool, and pool area was SOOOO perfect. Plus they rent out adorable old-fashioned bikes for biking around Old Town. Restaurants nearby I recommend are The Mission, Olive and Ivy and Barrio Queen.

After 2 heavenly days at Saguaro, we moved on to The Boulders Resort and Spa. This one is a little more pricy but we only stayed one night and soaked up all the spa treatments, sunset hikes and poolside drinks we could get! The resort is fun because you really hike to get to your room, and each room has a little patio where you can drink coffee in the morning and watch quails twirling around (fun fact, they mate for life!).

Next on our list was Sedona. We didn’t like the place we stayed (WAY overpriced) but did find a place we’d stay in next time, Sky Ranch Lodge. Sedona is know for incredible red mountains, hiking trails, orange colored sunsets and hippies galore! Many people come to experience the vortexes, which have healing qualities. We didn’t experience a vortex, but had an incredible hike to the Seven Sacred Pools.

Finally, we ended our trip at the CopperWynd Resort in the Fountain Hills. This is where our annual trip all began last year, when we rented out a house that ended up being absolutely in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing to do! We booked a night at the CopperWynd and ended up just staying there for the rest of the trip. So we had our last night here and spent it lounging by the pool, sipping wine and appies on the balcony and eating dinner on the porch with the most beautiful view of the pools lit up with white lights.

Arizona, I will see you next year!
